Waterford Walls is one of Ireland's largest annual mural festivals, inviting artists from around the globe. The festival blends urban contemporary art, music and dance over 10 days, with events occurring throughout the city.

Featuring the Diplolalaena Grandiflora this work is the first of a series of murals created from photographs that have captured local blooms discovered in neighbourhoods visited during travels. Much like a bird dispersing seeds on its migratory journey, the artwork uses native flora collected from Australia transported from the southern hemisphere and planted in the streets of Waterford.
