Darwin Street Art Festival

The Darwin Street Art Festival (DSAF) takes place every year in August/September over two weeks, welcoming international, national and local artists to create works across the streets of Darwin.

The 10-storey mural on the Argus Apartments, titled ‘Sand plains’, depicts several rare species endemic to Darwin’s unique ecosystem.

The top end is among the richest places in the world for bladderworts, a small aquatic carnivorous plant. Their diversity is highest on the sand plain habitats, which is a seasonally inundated wetland situated just outside of Darwin.
